This 48 year old executive consulted with Philadelphia plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Solomon because he disliked being told he appeared to be tired. He exercised regularly and felt well, but appeared tired due to the fullness of his lower eyelids. Dr. Solomon evaluated him. During the exam, Dr. Solomon learned that this patient took no medications and had no history of eye disease. He was an excellent candidate for a procedure known as transconjunctival blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). this procedure removes fat from the lower eyeids without any external incisions. This scarless surgery is performed on an outpatient basis and the patient returned to work within a week. He is shown one year after surgery and is very pleased with his result. He was so pleased that he brought his wife to Dr. Solomon for breast augmentation surgery.
