This 23 year old woman had previously undergone hip and thigh liposuction by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Solomon. She loved her thighs but noticed that her calves seemed thin to her. Dr. Solomon used computer imaging to help demonstrate that calf augmentation would create better proportion for her legs. She elected to have soft, solid silicone implants placed in her calves to create the shape that she desired. This outpatient procedure was performed using incisions behind each knee. The scars are visible, but not to the patient who prefers the appearance of her calves. Stockings hide any discoloration, along with the use of scar treatments that Dr. Solomon recommends. She is shown 6 months after surgery.
