CALF AND PECTORAL ENHANCEMENT

In our world today, physical appearance is extremely important. An attractive physical appearance can make people more confident and self-assured.

One of the most popular ways that people try to improve their physical appearance and musculature is by going to the gym. For some people, no matter how often they exercise or how much weight they lift, the muscles just never seem to fill out they way that they would have liked. Two of the muscles that are most resistant to exercise are the calves and the pectoral muscles of the chest.

People with well-developed calves and pecs probably never notice them that much. But for people with underdeveloped muscles in these areas, they are all too noticeable, even to the point of wearing clothes to 'cover up' these parts of their body. For patients with small or underdeveloped calf and pectoral muscles, Dr. Solomon offers Calf and Pectoral muscle enhancement.

WHAT ARE CALF AND PECTORAL IMPLANTS?

CALF IMPLANTS

Calf Implants are used to augment underdeveloped calves, or calves that are deformed due to injury of some type. The implants are made of silicone, are customized to fit each patient's aesthetic goals and are not subject to leakage, making them extremely safe.

Calf implants are suitable for both men and women.

THE PROCEDURE

Dr. Solomon gives each patient a customized, individual consultation. During the consultation, patients express their aesthetic goals and expectations for the outcome of the surgery. Dr. Solomon will answer any questions that patients may have, and the size and placement of the implants will be determined.

During the surgery, Dr. Solomon makes a small incision behind each knee. Incisions are made so as to result in minimal scarring. Dr. Solomon then makes an incision in the fascia (the muscle cover), which is where the implant will go.

Many of Dr. Solomon's patients are able to resume their normal routines in about 2 weeks. Patients may need help with walking for the first few days.

PECTORAL IMPLANTS

Chest implants are used strictly for men. Different from breast implants, chest implants can give men a more masculine appearance. The implants are made out of a soft-solid silicone that will not leak, and come in different sizes to accommodate the aesthetic goals of each individual patient.

Dr. Solomon inserts the implants between the layers of the pectoral muscles - giving patients immediate results. Pectoral implants won't give men a 'bodybuilder ripped' look, but they will give men who are looking for an immediate increase in size help in looking bigger and better.

THE PROCEDURE

Dr. Solomon gives all patients a customized, individual consultation. Dr. Solomon discusses with each patient their aesthetic goals and expectations for the outcome of the procedure. He also answers any questions that patients may have. Dr. Solomon gives patients an exam of their muscles during the consultation as well.

During the surgery, Dr. Solomon makes an incision in each armpit - a good location resulting in minimal and hidden scarring. He then places the implants between the 2 muscles that make up the chest - the perctoralis major and pectoralis minor.
There is an immediate, noticeable improvement in chest size.

For patients undergoing pectoral enhancement, Dr. Solomon recommends returning to light activity within one week; a compression garment is usually worn for about 6 weeks' time.

ARE THERE ANY RISKS?

As with all surgeries, Calf and Pectoral Enhancement comes with some risk. These include bruising, swelling, pain and infection. Fortunately, complications are rare and can be easily controlled with medications.

Most of Dr. Solomon's patients are extremely happy with the outcome of their procedures. Patients experience a renewed sense of self-confidence and an enhanced self-image, allowing them to lead happier lives.
